STEPs staff remain updated on current federal laws as well as specific state guidelines and compliance expectations of the Arizona Department of Education, Exceptional Student Services. We maintain close contact with state monitors as we are continually searching for more effective ways to service the exceptional child. We have successfully overseen numerous ESS monitorings with Arizona Department of Education, Exceptional Student Services.
In addition, we are dedicated to on-going research and participation in laws such as IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act) and No Child Left Behind.
STEPs is an exceptional student service provider. The director is professional in working with her staff, parents, and school personnel. The on-site team providing services has the students at the heart of developing and communicating service delivery plans. Flexibility is part of their mantra.
