About Rachel Devereaux, M.Ed.

Rachel Devereaux has over 15 years of experience in Special Education.  She earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and a Masters in Education, and is certified in Special Education. She believes that every child has the ability to excel every day, and her passion for education guarantees that this goal is met in each of her schools.

Rachel serves as the Special Education Director at several charter schools in Arizona, responsible for the leadership of the Special Education Departments serving special needs students and their families.  She is focused on ensuring that high quality support services are in place to maximize educational and behavioral outcomes.  She is accountable for monitoring and maintaining compliance with local, state and federal regulations relating to special education programs.

In addition to her school responsibilities, Rachel provides mentoring, training and professional development for the STEPS staff.  She believes in collaboration and alignment with staff, school administrators, students and families to provide the best possible educational services available.

Rachel enjoys traveling with her husband and daughter.
